Approximately 10 years ago, a doctor told me I had irregular heartbeat and advised me to have it further checked. My condition was described as “your heart’s spark plugs are misfiring”. When I went for a full medical checkup, the irregular heartbeat showed up in the ECG. I proceeded with the stress test and my heart appeared to be beating normally. However, the irregular heartbeat returned later after I had completed the test. Though I had these irregularities, by God’s grace, I did not suffer palpitations or shortness of breath.
Over the next few years, it was the same story every time I went for a full medical checkup. A cardiologist also found nothing abnormal with my heart size, valves and chambers.
In my last checkup, the heart specialist at IJN said my condition was called “Ventricular Bigemini”. He told me not to worry about it. However, I was concerned and wondered why I had this condition as I used to be an active footballer and was involved in athletics in my younger days.
Earlier in 2020, we had a series of meetings with Prophet Charles Ibrahim from Africa. During one of the meetings, he said if we had any physical ailment, we should place our hand on that part of our body and pray with faith. So I did it. About a week later, I was prompted to take my pulse and found it to be normal. I then asked my daughter Cassandra to take my pulse and she, too, found it to be normal. Some days later, I went to Dr Peter Richards and he also found it to be normal.
On 7th October 2020, I went for an ECG and the results showed that my heart was beating perfectly normally. Praise God, I was healed! I realized that God had performed a miracle and is truly our Healer. In Psalms 73:26 it says, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
I would like to thank God and give Him all glory and honour.
